| Built from 1955 until 1958, Lionel produced a series of painted sheet metal flat cars with blackened steel racks for pipes or logs mounted on them. Cars were produced in red, yellow, and grey, and had integral stamped steel end railings and steps. The number "6111" was assigned to log cars and "6121" to pipe cars, though no number of any kind appeared on any of these cars - only the word "Lionel". Bar-end and AAR trucks were both used. |
